Kherigarh breed of cattle are primarily a draught purpose breed. Their breeding ground includes “Kheri” district of Uttar Pradesh. The breed has been named after this area. Kherigarh breed is also commonl referred to as various names like “Kheri”, “Kharigarh” and “Khari”.
These breed type bullocks are highly useful for draught purposes and can run very fast. This Kheri breed of cattlearequite small yet very active.
Kherigarh have white coat colour. But some of them have grey colour distributed all over their bodies, especially on their faces.
Horns are upstanding, curving outward and upward and thick at the base. The standard lactation milk yield usually ranges from 300 to 500 kilo grams
