Go Chetana Local Seed Bank Initiative

Let's bring back the richness of our soil and heritage through Go Chetana!

Gopals has started our Local Seed Bank initiative - "Go Chetana", focusing on preserving and promoting traditional seed varieties, ensuring the revival of our local biodiversity.

Who Can Receive These Seeds?

Our native seeds are available for schools, colleges, farmers, volunteers, and anyone passionate about starting a home garden.

How It Works

For every seed received, we encourage contributing another local variety in return, keeping the cycle of native diversity alive.

What We Offer

  • Traditional seeds for vegetables, fruits, and paddy.
  • Knowledge on medicinal and nutritional benefits.
  • Free guidance on setting up your own garden and seed bank.

Training in EVM Practices in Phase 1 with Kits

During Phase 1, over 300 farmers were taught Ethnoveterinary Medicine (EVM) practices, thereby equipping them with some traditional healing knowledge. Each trainee was given a starter pack to improve their capacity for sustainable cattle care in the rural areas.

Memorandum of Understanding

Through key MoUs, GoPals aims to train farmers and cowherds in Ethnoveterinary Medicine (EVM), distribute essential care kits, and promote chemical-free agriculture. This initiative is rooted in uplifting Bharatโ€™s villages through sustainable, self-reliant practices.

The prestigious HEAL Championship Award 2025 would acknowledge persons and organisations that have made remarkable contributions in Health, Environment, Agriculture, and Lifestyle from the perspective of cow-centred sustainable living.
