What we Propose to the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India

1. Natural Organic Farming should be added to the Syllabus as part of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and National Education Policy (NEP).
2. Ethno-Veterinary Practices should be included in NEP and NIOS syllabus.
3. New education board should be created for the farming community.
4. The ministry should initiate documentation of the indigenous knowledge repositories.
5. Traditional seeds are proprietary to each area and should be added as part of the education system. Genetic mapping of traditional seeds should be undertaken.
6. Cow Schooling – Cow Herd Community and Farm Schooling - Farming Community should be undertaken.
7. Bovine policy should be modified to preserve all the descript and non-descript cow breeds belonging to each region and classified as bio-diverse species.
8. Single-breed Goshala which is native to a specific region should be funded by the government.
9. Major incentives should be provided to all who rear stud Bulls and they should be registered under the ministry for other benefits.
10. Declare the day following Makara Sankranthi Festival every year as National Indigenous Cattle Day.
